Fantastic Times Ahead to be Boating on the Hudson!

Hey folks!

After this frustrating winter for us snow lovers (marvelous winter for non-snow lovers), I am pleased and very excited to announce that unusual and, as NEweatherHQ stated in his latest post, record warmth is about to spill into the New York City region!  Yesterday we saw highs only in the low 40s.  Believe it or not, that was BELOW average for this time of year.  Today will be about 15 degrees warmer, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 for inland locations.  Coastal locations will stay cooler with the wind blowing off the Long Island Sound.  Coastal locations can expect highs in the mid-50s, generally.  Tomorrow will feature highs about 10 degrees warmer than today!  Temperatures will continue to soar on Tuesday, with highs in the mid-70s for most of the NYC Metro.  There is the chance southern portions of the area will make it to the upper 70s to near 80!!  Unbelievable!  We will see a cool back into the 60s for Wednesday as a cold front comes through late Tuesday into Tuesday night.  Temperatures will continue to warm for the second half of the workweek!  70s are very possible again once we hit Thursday and Friday!  The point is, we have a major March warm up on our hands!  It will feel like May rather than March all week, and this warm tend does not seem to end in our foreseeable future!

Have a great rest of your Sunday, NYC!

About Jared

Hi, I am Jared, also known as @wxjared  on Twitter, and @thejaredcool  on Youtube. I have loved weather since I was 5 years old, and want to be a meteorologist when I grow up. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, and now live in South Carolina. I focus mainly on forecasting weather for the Southeast, but when weather gets extreme, I will forecast for the rest of the United States. I love forecasting severe weather, tornadoes, and hurricanes, but nothing beats the excitement of forecasting of forecasting snowstorms!
